Statement of Faith
Statement of Faith
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). We believe that God is the creator of all things, infinitely perfect and eternally worthy of worship (Genesis 1:1; Revelation 4:11).
We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose from the dead on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will return again in glory to judge the living and the dead (John 1:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Acts 1:9-11).
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and who indwells every believer, empowering them for godly living and equipping them for service in the body of Christ (John 16:7-11; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-7).
We believe that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God, containing all that is necessary for salvation and the Christian life (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21). We affirm the historic creeds of the Christian faith, including the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed, as faithful summaries of biblical truth.
We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and that salvation is a gift of God, not a result of our own works, so that no one may boast (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 3:23-24).
We believe in the universal church, the body of Christ, composed of all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We believe in the priesthood of all believers, who are called to proclaim the gospel, make disciples, baptize, and participate in the mission of God in the world (1 Peter 2:9; Matthew 28:19-20).
We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the life everlasting, when Jesus will return to establish his kingdom in fullness and make all things new (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 21:1-5).
